POLYMERASE CHAIN REACTION (PCR)
Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) is a biochemical technology in molecular biology to amplify a single or a few copies of a piece of DNA across several orders of magnitude, generating thousands to millions of copies of a particular DNA sequence. It can be used to determine Microorganism, Animal and Plant DNA.
LIQUID CHROMATOGRAPHY-MASS SPECTROMETRY- MASS SPECTROMETRY (LCMS/MS)
The triple quadruple mass spectrometer is unequaled for quantitating and confirmation of very trace target compounds. It separates mixtures of compounds by High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), and detects and analyzes the separated compounds, one at a time, by Mass Spectrometry in complex matrices.
GAS CHROMATOGRAPHY (GC)
Gas chromatography (GC) is a common type of chromatography used in organic chemistry for separating and analyzing compounds that can be vaporized without decomposition. We have a headspace sampler for solvent analysis. The Flame ionization detector is used to analyze Saturated Fat, Trans Fat, Omega Fats, Cholesterol, Propionic acid and others.
GAS CHROMATOGRAPHY-MASS SPECTROMETRY (GC-MS)
Gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) is a method that combines the features of gas-liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry to identify different substances within a test sample. Applications of GC-MS include 3MCPD, Environmental analysis like Volatile Organic Compounds, Pesticides and dentification of unknown samples.
GAS CHROMATOGRAPHY-TANDEM MASS SPECTROMETRY (GC-MSMS)
Analysis by GC-MS/MS are separated in a gaseous state based on the various physical and chemical properties of analytes of interest and their interaction with the analytical column’s stationary phase. The analytes enter the tandem mass spectrometer (MS/MS) which consists of two scanning mass analyzers separated by a collision cell. GC-MS/MS is well-suited for the identification of unknown volatile components using the mass fragmentation patterns and mass transitions associated with the unknown analyte.
INDUCTIVELY COUPLED PLASMA (ICP)
An inductively coupled plasma (ICP) is a type of plasma source in which the energy is supplied by electrical currents which are produced by electromagnetic induction, that is, by time- varying magnetic fields. Inductively Coupled Plasma ICPOES and ICPMS are analytical technique used for the detection of many different metals in environmental and food samples.
HIGH-PERFORMANCE LIQUID CHROMATOGRAPHY (HPLC)
High-performance liquid chromatography is a form of column chromatography used frequently in analytical chemistry to separate, identify, and quantify compounds. It is used to analyze vitamins, preservatives, sugar profile, Sudan colouring, Histamine, Triclosan, Salicyclic acid among others.
ION CHROMATOGRAPHY (IC)
Ion chromatography is a process that allows the separation of ions and polar molecules based on the charge properties of the molecules. It used to analyze anions like Fluoride, Chloride, Nitrite, Nitrate, Sulphate and others. It can also be used to test for cations like ammonia, sodium, potassium, lithium among others.
FIMS 100 Flow Injection Mercury System (FIMS)
The FIMS is a compact, easy-to-operate mercury analyzer with an integrated flow injection system for cold vapor mercury analysis
ABSORBANCE MICROPLATE READER
This is a high sensitivity instrument for the identification and quantification of biochemical reactions, such as ELISA assay. The concentration of the targeted molecules is determined by the development of coloured product or density through the binding activity of antibody and antigen. Its application include the analysis of hormones, antibiotics, allergen, mycotoxins, enterotoxins and many more.
DR 5000 UV-VIS SPECTROPHOTOMETER
The DR 5000 UV-Vis Spectrophotometer offers broad spectrophotometric capabilities over the full UV-Vis spectrum. It can be used to determine colour (ADMI), Formaldehyde and others.
